Why you should support United,AGAIN.

After all the hype about how Ronaldo  made the club richer, and how Sir Alex seems to be stuffing all the money down a deep dark hole somewhere (insert cartoon of old man with sack here), I still think we have a pretty good shot at the title this year. Why, you ask?

1. Owen seems to be looking good, and able to play more than one game in a month. And of course, there is no doubt about the fact that he is a good striker, when he’s not on the bench nursing one of his innumerable injuries.
2. Ronaldo replacement Antonio Valencia has given a good account of himself, and looks set to be able to meet right flank requirements.
3. Berba seems to be running a lot more than last year.
4. Giggs  seems to have another year of soccer up his sleeve (or wherever he gets all that energy from)
5. Rooney is still God.
6. Gibson and Carrick seem to be forming a good partnership in midfield.
7. Anderson has scored.
8. Nani is still pissed at being left on the bench.
9. The kids -Tosic, Macheda, the Rafael twins, Evans, Cleverly (who’s that you ask?) seem to be well fed and in their nappies. They seem to be decent players, and ready to put in real strong contributions.
10. Liverpool will still shoot themselves in the foot, and Rafa will pull the trigger.
11. Arsenal is phhhbbbtt.
12. Chelsea is, well, Chelsea.
13. And We Are United, and we value the badge more than the player. Which Real Madrid doesnt seem to understand anyway.

The season is just about over,and the transfer rumours are hitting big! Tottenham Hotspur will be offloading one or two of their big-name stars this summer, as they look to ‘duck and dive’ in the transfer market.Boss Redknapp is looking to sell winger David Bentley and Russian international striker Roman Pavlyuchenko in order to raise funds for bringing in some new faces.How much that will help the Spurs if it goes through,only remains to be seen.But,elsewhere Wigan Athletic are keen to sign Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant when his current loan spell at Portsmouth ends.Although Liverpool is unlikely to give him way,the winger looks like he relishes playing under his former boss at Birmingham.

The hot gossip of course is still about the destination possibilities of Cristiano Ronaldo,who has supposedly finalized that he is quitting the EPL to hea to the Bernabeu.A 70 million pound agreement is believed to have been arranged last season between the two clubs.But Real say they have other targets in mind-Kaka is one of them.Meanwhile,Villa have made it clear to Liverpool that Barry can be signed for no lesser than 10 million pounds.Sticking to Liverpool,there are also talks about their interest in Carlos Tevez! SURPRISED? Well,here’s more for you- Manchester United are said to be going after Villa striker John Carew,after ending their pursuit of Roque Santa Cruz.

Arsenal:The rich man’s West Brom

Controversial? Not really.

West Brom got relegated this weekend, partially as a result of Tony Mowbray’s stubbornness and yearning to play good, passing football. He chose to play this way throughout the entirety of the 2008-09 season irrespective of how results unfolded, and could be (probably is) the reason things did not turn around for them.

Does this remind anyone of Arsene Wenger at Arsenal?? Effectively sacrificing results for the sake of playing pretty football…

I’m not saying Arsenal are heading for relegation next season – they’re far too good for that – but when will Arsene realise that flair doesn’t win you anything but admirers and fair-weather fans?
